Help shape ISCPh’s response to the FDA’s open comment period on botanical drug development

Comments due November 3, 2026

The FDA is currently accepting public comments on opportunities to advance the development of botanical drug products, including challenges related to complex mixtures, product consistency, quality standards, study design, and the use of real-world evidence.

These issues are highly relevant to cannabis and cannabinoid-based therapies.

Join ISCPh for a collaborative member working session to identify the issues most important to pharmacists and medical cannabis care and help develop recommendations for an ISCPh organizational comment to the FDA.

Discussion will focus on topics such as characterization of cannabinoid products and exposure, product variability, clinically meaningful outcomes, real-world evidence, medication safety, pharmacovigilance, and the role of healthcare professionals in translating complex botanical products into patient care.

FDA comments are due November 3, 2026.
